We’re Sonia and Jane-friends, workmates and tutors at People 1st in Portadown-and on Sunday 4th October, we’ll be taking our fundraising efforts to new heights by abseiling down Belfast’s iconic Europa Hotel!

Over the years, we’ve been proud to help raise money for many wonderful causes. This challenge, however, is especially close to our hearts.

Sonia’s daughter has recently been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), bringing a much deeper and more personal understanding of the condition and the impact it can have-not only on the person diagnosed, but on the entire family.

FND Matters NI provides an invaluable local support network for people living with FND and their loved ones. The charity also works tirelessly to raise awareness and improve understanding of a complex neurological condition that remains widely misunderstood.

As friends, we’ve decided to face this challenge together. Stepping over the edge of the Europa Hotel will certainly push us well outside our comfort zones, but knowing why we’re doing it-and who we’re doing it for-will give us the courage to take that leap!

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help FND Matters NI continue providing vital support to individuals and families across Northern Ireland. Your kindness would mean so much to us, to Sonia’s family and to everyone supported by this fantastic local charity.
