This September, I'm lacing up my boots for a 12-mile walk along the Test Way through the Hampshire countryside — for Southampton Hospitals Charity.

It's a cause close to home. Southampton Hospitals Charity supports University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, funding everything from vital equipment — like a life-saving ultrasound scanner in the Children's Hospital — to arts programmes that bring comfort to dementia patients.

12 miles will test my legs, but it's a small thing next to what patients and families at UHS face every day. Every donation, big or small, helps them keep making a difference.
