Story

Welcome to my fundraising page for CoppaFeel!

Last year I completed a trek through the Isle of Skye to fundraiser for CoppaFeel! A trek that was an incredible experience and one I hold dearly. This year I will be trekking through Montenegro, a completely different beast of an adventure and I couldn’t resist signing up.

This July I will set out on a challenging, extraordinary and life-changing trek, all in the name of checking chests! Along with Gi Fletcher and some other famous faces, I will embark on a 5 day trek in Montenegro, in a bid to raise funds towards CoppaFeel's life-saving mission.

When I was a teenager, my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was 38 years old at the time. Until that point I had only thought of cancer as a disease that happened a lot later in life, yet my mum got it. My mum, someone health conscious and active, was diagnosed young. I saw her undergo treatment and the horrific experience she had to go through. As bad a experience as she had, mum was lucky - she found a lump early and sought the treatment needed before it had gotten to far. Because she checked her chest.

CoppaFeel! Is a breast cancer awareness charity, encouraging everyone to regularly check their chests and know their normal. The earlier we catch the cancer, the chances of our survival is significantly better.

Your donations will not only support my fundraising target, but most importantly CoppaFeel!. They are on a mission to stamp out the late diagnosis of breast cancer by making sure that young people are regularly checking their boobs, pecs and chests and getting to know their bodies in order to have the confidence to see their GP if something just doesn't feel normal.

Thanks so much for your donation & support. To find out more about CoppaFeel! head to www.coppafeel.org.
