I am running the Bath Half Marathon on 16th March to raise money for BRACE (a dementia research charity). As someone who could not even run a 5k a year ago this is definitely a step outside of my comfort zone that I am excited to take for such an important cause. Improving our understanding of dementia and how we can treat it is a cause that is particularly close to me having seen the impacts of dementia on my grandmother. Watching her journey as she has experienced the challenges of this illness has been both heartbreaking and eye-opening for me and my family. By raising money for BRACE, this will allow vital research to go ahead that will make a real difference to the lives of those battling with dementia.
