This October, 8-year-old Sophia and I (Sophia's Dad) are taking on a three-day sponsored bike ride to raise money specifically for the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre.

We’ll be setting off from the East Winch Wildlife Centre on 2nd October and spending three days cycling along the North Norfolk coast, finishing at Cromer Pier on 4th October.

Sophia is a very capable cyclist, but this will still be a proper challenge for her — three consecutive days on the bike, covering a good distance while carrying on whatever the Norfolk weather decides to throw at us!

After rescuing a fallen nest of baby Jackdaws, Sophia decided she would like to support the centre and came up with the idea of a sponsored cycle herself. East Winch Wildlife Centre rescues, treats and rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned wildlife from across the region, including seals, birds, hedgehogs and many other animals.

The team at East Winch have kindly agreed to support our ride through their social media, and we’ll be sharing updates from the journey as we go.

Every donation, however small, will help support the work being carried out at East Winch Wildlife Centre.
