Story
Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. On March 8th, I’ll be running the Endurancelife Sussex Marathon to raise money for dementia uk .

In 2021, during COVID, I lost my lovely Grandpa to dementia. Dementia affects more than 55 million people worldwide, with nearly 10 million new cases diagnosed every year. Unfortunately, this number is continuing to rise .
This past summer, I had the opportunity to work in a care home, where I witnessed firsthand the effects of dementia. It’s a condition that robs people of their memories, their sense of self, and often their dignity. The more we can raise awareness and support, the closer we get to finding better care and, ultimately, a cure.

This will be my second marathon, but first official event ! With a hearty elevation, I am a mixture of daunted/ excited to take on some of the hills on the Sussex coast line. I am also very lucky to be running it with my boyfriend , Anthony, and I am leaving the link to his page below and if you could go have a look at that I know he would be really grateful also !

My Grandpa was a true role model—someone who always loved his sport and had a spirit of resilience that really inspired and had a huge impact on me . It would be a great privilege to raise some money for this important cause that affects so many.

Thank you so so much for reading this and any donations will be hugely appreciated.
Love,
Soph xx
