Story
Project Care Volunteering organises group volunteering trips for university students to schools and colleges for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda.
It was founded in 2012 and has since coordinated 15 group volunteering trips, raising over £100,000 towards transformational education projects, including sanitation projects and the building of new school infrastructure (such as classrooms, playgrounds, toilets and kitchens).
In September I will be going to Bhuj, to the Navchetan Andhjan Mandal School and will be helping teach disabled children new skills such as dancing, singing and geography.
This will be a completely new experience for me, and something very out of my comfort zone. I will be traveling in a small group of students, and am excited to help take care of the children.
I hope to come out of this experience with a new appreciation for the simple things in life, and hope that my time volunteering will benefit the children!
I would really appreciate your support in this adventure!!
