Story
In Memory of my Dad Andrew Peter Bellwood who passed away from a Brain Tumour in November 2023
O'Neill & Brennan, the company i work for set a May Step Challenge. The winning prize being a £300 voucher and most importantly £300 to a charity of choice. The results are in...I WON! This was far more challenging than i ever expected and people close to me know how much i put in the take the top spot. My motivation was my late father Andrew Peter Bellwood who passed away from a stage 4 Glioblastoma. His illness came out of nowhere and within a few months of being diagnosed we sadly lost him. It would be great to try and top up the total if anyone can spare a few pounds.
The stats: 809,629 steps, equivalent to 404 miles, 15 marathons, and 29,000 steps on average per day. I'm one toe nail down and covered in blisters, it was all worth it in the end
One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
