I'm doing the Great North Run! Which is a half-marathon, and is, in part, both very exciting and terrifying in the same way.

I will be running for team 'It's Time', who are an absolutely fantastic charity, who make the world a better place for young adults who have experienced the loss of a parent.

For those who don't know, my amazing Dad was terminally diagnosed with Prostate Cancer when I was 16, and after a very strong 5 year battle, I then lost my absolutely wonderful Dad when I was 21, during placement year of my university Undergraduate degree. I was very close to my Dad and considered him as one of my best friends, as well as my parent. 🤍

Losing a parent at any age is incredibly difficult, but no one prepares you to lose a parent at such a young age, where there's already so much change and life events happening around you. At the time, there wasn't really support like It's Time available, so I'm really grateful that young adults now get the support they really need and I'm proud to be fundraising and running for them in September! For those who know me, they know I'm not a long-distance runner, so please please come on runs with me too! 🩵
