I was planning to run the London marathon last year in support of my best friend Catherine's mum, Mary March. Mary had been fighting myeloma for a number of years. A nasty fall and subsequent injury forced me to defer my marathon place to this year.

Sadly, Mary passed away on 18th January 2025 so I will now run in her memory. She was much loved, was an inspiration to so many, a surrogate mum to me, and she will always be remembered.

I am raising money for The Rosemary Foundation who are a small local charity based in Petersfield who supported Mary in her final days. Thanks to the incredible women who run this charity, Mary was able to remain at home with her loved ones by her side (due to their being no local hospice beds available in this area).
