Story
Two weeks ago, I received news that changed my life: I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a blood cancer which affects fewer than 200 people a year in the UK. Last week, I began intensive chemotherapy, and was told that losing my hair is inevitable. At first, I felt like I was too young for this to be happening—but then I thought of all the children who are facing similar battles, even younger than me.
As I come to terms with my own journey, I want to use this moment to bring a little light. I’ve decided to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust, where it can be transformed into a real hair wig—given free of charge to a child who’s going through the hardest time in their life. It costs around £700 to make one wig, and I’d love to raise that amount (or more!) to help bring some hope to a young person who needs it.
In two weeks, I’ll be braving the shave as I continue my own fight. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world—not just to me, but to the child whose life it could brighten. Thank you so much for your support.
