Sophie Bramley is raising money for Women's Aid Federation Of England

Wuthering Heights Day 2025, Haworth · 27 July 2025

Women’s Aid Federation of England is the national charity working against domestic abuse. Alongside our campaigning, training, and advocacy projects, our direct support services, including our Live Chat Helpline, support thousands of women and their children to escape abuse every year.

Story

1 in 4 women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.

For 50 years, Women’s Aid have provided life-saving support to women escaping abusive relationships, exactly the type of relationships depicted in Emily Bronte's seminal novel Wuthering Heights. By fundraising, we are supporting their mission to empower more survivors to build safer futures.

This year, we’re taking the famous ‘Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ tribute event to new heights by recreating Kate Bush's iconic dance on the wily, windy landscape that inspired Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights! Hundreds of Bush and Bronte fans alike will be gathered to dress up and dance in dedication to these two iconic women and raise much needed funds for this fantastic cause.

A £10 donation to this JustGiving page could connect a Women’s Aid support worker to a survivor via their Live Chat service. Help us to keep their vital services running by donating today.
