One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.

Friday 27th March is Wear a Hat Day, the major annual fundraising event for Brain Tumour Research. Participants are encouraged to wear hats and donate to raise awareness and funds to fight brain tumours. Schools, workplaces, and communities have held events raising over £2.2 million since 2010.

I first started supporting Brain Tumour Research in 2012, in celebration of my best friend from school, Kerry. She lost her battle to this cruel form of cancer, aged just 29. She passed away 19 years this month, and I still miss her like crazy!

As a milliner, I think every day is a hat worthy day! So let's make Wear a Hat Day 2026 the perfect excuse to dress up and have some fun for a wonderful cause.

This year I am organising a Mad Hatters Tea Party in my workplace.

There will be cake, prizes and hats galore!
