Story
I'm hiking 3,000kms across the length of New Zealand and hoping to raise money (£1 / km aim) for the British Heart Foundation along the way!
Te Araroa is deemed the toughest (and newest) of the world's major thru-hikes, with an elevation equivalent to summiting Mount Everest nine times. I'll be hiking South bound, beginning at Cape Reinga (the notorious 90 mile beach with a 30% drop out rate) and ending in Bluff. It should take around 6 months to complete.
I'd be so grateful for your support for the British Heart Foundation. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
Here's to hoping my 2014 Bronze DofE has prepared me...
Thank you!
