Story
In October 2023 my dad was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumor. Dad has always been an active and healthy person, he has been part of a local cycling club since the age of 16. The news of this cancer was shocking to us all as he has never had any health issues previously! The doctors told us that usually people with this type of cancer live a further 12-18 months. It has now been 29 months since his diagnosis and dad is smashing it! He has completed rounds of both chemotherapy and radiotherapy and has responded well to this treatment. Dad is now on a Clinical Trial at the The Royal Marsden Hospital. All of the treatment and support Dad has been through would not be possible without the huge amount of research that goes into treating different cancers. We are so proud of Dad and so happy that he is continuing to fight to be here for us. He is doing so well and our family are so proud of the progress he is making.
