Story
On 13th September, I will be skating a marathon to raise money for Chameleon Buddies!
Chameleon Buddies promotes social inclusion among people living with a stoma or childbirth injury, both in the UK and in Kenya. The Charity is a passionate advocate for providing hope for people struggling to live with lifechanging injuries’ following childbirth, and aims to help women, and their families, adapt to these changes.
I have been privileged to be part of the charity and in November, I will return to Kenya, helping to deliver workshops and Stoma care clinics to the ladies. Im so excited to get back out there but it comes with a cost for the charity!
So I knew I didnt want to do anything as mad as Kilimanjaro again, and i definilty cant run a marathon , so ive decided to skate one instead!
On 13th september I will be at Betteshanger park in deal, with the support of my skating team cheering me on! Its just over 2 miles a lap so ill be going round 13 times!
So please if you can donate, even a small amount, it would be very much appreciated so I can take my passion for stoma care and my nursing skills back to Africa and really make a difference! ❤️
