The British Thyroid Foundation provides information and support to help people better understand and manage their condition. We also fund and support vital research into thyroid disease to improve treatments and outcomes for thyroid patients both now and in the future.

Story

After running 2 half marathons last year for children's hospice south west in memory of a friends baby, I decided to run one for me this time, as I have lived with hypothyroidism since 2011. As it’s my 3rd one I decided to do something a bit different so this time I’m doing it wearing butterfly wings 🦋😂

Being diagnosed and living with a thyroid disorder can have a big impact on your life. But you are not on your own. We're here to support you and the thousands of people across the UK living with thyroid disorders.

We work with medical professionals so our information is reliable and evidence based. We fund vital research into thyroid disease. Our telephone contacts and Facebook groups offer peer support and our local groups support you in your local community. We rely on donations and fundraising to continue our work.
