Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Earlier this year, my 15-year-old son Jay was diagnosed with Stargardt’s disease — a rare, inherited eye condition that causes progressive vision loss and can eventually lead to blindness. Stargardt’s affects the macula, the part of the eye responsible for central vision, the vision we rely on to read, recognise faces, and one day drive a car. These are everyday things most of us take for granted.
Right now, there is no treatment and no cure. But researchers are working tirelessly to change that. In the meantime, I’m committed to doing what I can to support the charities that provide vital help to families living with this devastating diagnosis, and to fund the research that will one day lead to a breakthrough.
