On July 1st we will be getting married! We're overjoyed to join together legally as a couple, and to celebrate our relationship with our family and friends. We are also *privileged* to be able to marry each other and share our relationship publicly.

67 countries have jurisdictions which criminalise private, same-sex, consensual relationships. 32 of those are in the Commonwealth. 11 of them can or do impose the death penalty for same-sex intimacy.

To celebrate our wedding we are asking that in lieu of any gifts, you join us in donating to the Human Dignity Trust, a charity who use the law to defend the human rights of LGBT people globally.

HDT is the only organisation working globally to support strategic litigation to challenge laws that persecute people on the basis of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. They work with LGBT activists around the world to defend human rights in countries where private, same-sex, consensual sexual activity is criminalised.
