15 years ago I suffered a life changing experience with auto immune encephalitis and since then I have seen numerous close family and friends also go through life threatening and life altering times with auto immune conditions. Auto immune conditions are so complex and little understood that it is vital for research to continue so we can treat and support these conditions in a better way in the future.

The British Society for Immunology’s mission is to connect immunologists, raise their voice and support them throughout their careers.
