I am taking part in Manchester half marathon on 12th October to raise money and awareness for brain tumour research.

My amazing husband was diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2024 which he had to go under emergency surgery for 8 hours to have this removed . This is something which has massively affected our lives and something we thought we would never have to go through after only being married in September 2024 it literally turned our world upside down. I want to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity which supports people like ourselves which has been through something so tragic as this.

One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
