Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 8th of March, one of my best friends Elaine will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for Addenbrookes Cancer Research.
We were due to run it together in support of my mum, who is being treated at Addenbrookes Hospital for a rare and complex form of Thyroid cancer (a cancer that continues to have delayed and misdiagnoses). Due to injury I can no longer run, but Elaine is still flying over from Ireland to take part and will be running on behalf of both of us, and especially for my mum.
Because my mum’s cancer involves a rare genetic mutation, the team at Addenbrookes are not only caring for her but are also researching a new generation of targeted treatments that could help people with rare cancers like hers. That research gives hope during an incredibly difficult time.
If you’re able to donate, even the tiniest amount, it would mean so much (and will make Elaine run faster!!!). Your support helps fund vital research and the compassionate care that families rely on every day.
Thank you for supporting Elaine, my mum, and the important work being done at Addenbrookes Hospital
