Myself and Liam have entered the Leicestershire Half Marathon! We wanted a challenge and something to do together!

We are absolutely not runners… We have never ran! 🙈 This is a big deal but we are very determined to do it! And of course we have chosen to fundraise for our special charity Rainbows, to help the wonderful hospice who gave us precious time and memories with our daughter!

Rainbows was our home when we needed it the most! They took our everyday life worries away and let us spend what time we had with Daisy. We were able to be a family, away from the monitors and interventions that comes with a hospital setting.

The unthinkable happened. But Daisy passed away with such dignity. We spent time with her asleep in the most respectful setting.

We had ‘heard of’ children’s hospices, but we now know exactly what they do for poorly children and families. If we can raise some money and help even in a small way, it goes such a long way!

We visit Rainbows monthly! Every time we go we see where people’s donations and fundraising goes! The hospice is always striving for the best equipment, accommodation, and activities! Twice a year a ceremony is held for families to come together and reflect. The children and families are never forgotten.
