Story
Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.
There are hundreds of children and young people in your local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they don't know how long they will have together.
Your support helps families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.

On Thursday 30th November 2023, our City of Portsmouth College Uniformed Protective Services (UPS) staff and students, will be attempting to run as many miles as possible in memory of our late student Sian Reeds.
Sian, a keen runner, sadly passed away in November 2020, of DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) which is a type of brain tumour.
We would like to raise awareness of this awful aggressive type of brain tumour and also raise as much money as we can for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice who support and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.
This is a charity very close to Sian's family.
We would love to surpass the 483 miles that was ran last year which is mind blowing as a collective group, however this year, we are aiming to reach 500 miles.
To put that into perspective, this is just short of the distance from City of Portsmouth College ➡️ Basel in Switzerland!
If you would like to donate, please give what you can and any amount is much appreciated for a fantastic cause.
Many thanks,
The Uniformed Protective Services Team @ City of Portsmouth College
