Hi, I’m Sophie — proud member of the South Western Ambulance Service and someone who usually only runs if there’s cake involved… or actual danger.

After a brief conversation, a pint (or two), and a moment of questionable judgement, I signed up for the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026.

Now, as someone who treats running like a last resort, this is way outside my comfort zone — but also an amazing challenge I’m ready to take on (with equal parts excitement and mild panic).

I’m running in support of the South Western Ambulance Charity, which does incredible work to enhance the care we deliver to patients, supporting both frontline crews and the wider service. Every penny raised helps fund projects that make a real difference in the moments that matter most.
