1 in 2 of us will see our lives devasted by dementia either by developing it ourselves, caring for someone who has it, or both.

My granddad was diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years ago and is now cared for full time in a home. He doesn’t know my name or who I am anymore, but on a good day I’m still familiar and get a ‘hello love’.

During September and October, I’ll be taking part in 4 events to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Research UK. This starts with the Impetus Challenger Triathlon on September 12th, followed by Hever Castle Olympic Triathlon on the 28th, Palace to Palace on October 6th and, finally, Ironman 70.3 Porec on October 19th.
