I'm taking on the 100km in May challenge to raise funds for HEP Horizons.

I've chosen to row the 100km and I'm part of a large group of fundraisers from across Haringey and Enfield who have agreed to swim, bike, run, walk or row 100km in May.

HEP Horizons is a fantastic charity that aims to transform young lives in Haringey & Enfield. They create equity of access to life-changing extra-curricular experiences for young people.

Did you know:

- 37% of young people in the UK don’t take part in extra-curricular activities

- 54% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds are unable to engage in

EVERY child and young person deserves the opportunity to participate in lifechanging experiences of sport, the arts and technology.

Your donation could mean:

£38 can hire a musical instrument for one term for a pupil

£100 funds a child to attend a term of after-school sports camp

£167 supports a child to attend Saturday school for a term

£480 funds a place for a vulnerable child/young person to visit the outward bound centre Pendarren House in the Brecon Beacons for one week.

I work as Operations Manager at HEP (Haringey Education Partnership) and HEP Horizons is our charity arm. I'm proud to be taking part in this fundraising effort for this charity which is so close to my heart.
