Story
I was diagnosed with Addison’s disease in the summer of 2023 and without the support of the Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group I would have and would continue to struggle due to a world of mixed communication. I am therefore proud to be hosting an Addison's Afternoon Tea to raise awareness and funds for the Addison's Disease Self-Help Group (ADSHG) on the 26th May.
The ADSHG charity supports everyone affected by Addison's and adrenal insufficiency. Addison’s is a rare endocrine condition where the adrenal glands do not produce enough steroid hormones and can be life-threatening. It affects approximately 1 in 10,000 people and is roughly 300 times rarer than diabetes.
Every donation will go directly towards the Addison’s Disease Self-Help Group’s mission of supporting the Addison's and adrenal insufficiency community and their healthcare providers as well as supporting vital research. Together, we can make a real difference.
Every penny raised helps us support people affected by Addison's disease and adrenal insufficiency.
