Story
I'm fundraising for St Ann’s ' hospice raising money to help keep there amazing work going for generations to come.
St Ann’s Hospice to provide care to people and their families living with a life-limiting illness in the Greater Manchester community.
As a family we've had a tough couple of years, unexpectedly loosing our Dad in March 2022 very suddenly to cancer and although Dad didn't make it to St Ann’s', they recently cared for our grandad in his last days - and the care, facilities and staff were all just amazing.
I've been wanting to do something in memory of Dad & Grandad, something that they'd both be proud of 'also saying - soph you're mad!' but to be able to give back to St Ann’s hospice to continue to help other families in end of life care is just amazing. Cancer will effect us all, if not personally but through family and friends at some point in our lives and being able to fundraise for this amazing charity will really help make a difference to future lives.
So what am i doing...
I'm joining a team on the 12th November 2025 to Trek through the Sahara desert on a 48km hike - which when googled (As I did when i first signed up) is 29miles.... Yes.... I know what you're thinking that's longer than a marathon...
I will be training hard, and I am aiming to raise as much money as possible (hopefully over my target too!) for this amazing charity.
I will be posting progress of my training on my socials, and would really appreciate anything you can do to support.
Thank you!! #SophsSaharaTrek
