Having recently read Daniel Hewitt’s “Left to Rot”, I was moved by the reality of England’s housing emergency.

So, on Sunday 11th October, I’m running my first ever half marathon to raise money for Shelter.

Shelter exists to defend the right to a safe home for everyone. It supports people currently dealing with homelessness and bad housing whilst also campaigning for change.

The scale of the crisis is difficult to comprehend. Every three minutes, a household in England becomes homeless. 177,530 children are currently living in temporary accommodation - the highest number since records began.

I’d be incredibly grateful for any contribution.
