I am running the Eden Project marathon on 15th October 2023 and as the race draws closer, I thought I would try and raise some money for the National Coastwatch Institute (NCI) in the process.

Currently almost 60 NCI stations are operational and manned by over 2600 volunteer watchkeepers around the British Isles from Fleetwood in the North West, through Wales, to the South and East of England to Filey in North Yorkshire. 

NCI watchkeepers provide the eyes and ears along the coast, monitoring radio channels and providing a listening watch in poor visibility. When people get into trouble, we are there to alert HM Coastguard and direct the appropriate rescue services to the casualty.

Any donations, not matter how small, are essential for the National Coastwatch Institute to continue to provide such an important service.
