Story
I am excited to share that I will be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on May 25, 2025, in support of the Scottish Huntington's Association!
This incredible charity is dedicated to providing specialised, personalised care for everyone in Scotland whose lives are impacted by Huntington's disease (HD). Huntington’s disease is a genetic brain disorder that gradually damages the brain, leading to profound challenges. Those affected may eventually lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink, and care for themselves. This is where the Scottish Huntington's Association steps in, offering essential support from professionals who truly understand this condition.
As the only charity in Scotland focused exclusively on Huntington’s disease, they work tirelessly to raise care standards and alleviate financial burdens while providing physical, mental, and emotional support to families navigating this difficult journey.
This cause resonates deeply within my family; we understand firsthand the impact of HD and the difference a strong support system can make. Therefore, I am aiming to raise a target of £500, so any donations would be greatly appreciated. Your generous contributions will help ensure that those affected by Huntington’s disease receive the expert care they deserve.
Thank you for your support!
Sophie
