Thank you for visiting my London Marathon fundraiser page for Orchard Vale Trust!

More than 1.4 million people with learning disabilities live in the UK and almost all of them face some type of barrier to living life to the full.

OVT is a charity based in Somerset that supports adults with learning disabilities to live life to the full. They take a holistic approach to care, providing people with homes for life, as well as offering community and day services.

The projects OVT run include the following:

- Therapeutic projects: such as drumming or weaving

- Health and Wellbeing projects: such as football and walking groups

- Communication Projects: such as IT courses and self expression through art and dance

- Skills for Life: such as money handling and cookery skills

- Employability schemes: such as their cafe and Community Gardening Project

Running the London Marathon for OVT feels really special. This will be my first marathon so it’s a huge challenge for me, both mentally and physically. Training has taken me through some pretty extreme conditions so far, from 30-something degree heat in the Malaysian jungle to battling Storm Goretti up the Bristol Portway. I’m really hoping 26 April lands somewhere comfortably in between 😅

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Orchard Vale Trust continue their vital work and make a real difference to the lives of the people they support. Your support will also give me a mahoosive boost on the long training runs (yet to get into the 30k-ers…) and on the day itself.
