Story
In September 2024 I moved to a new area and my children to new schools. In what was a very stressful time I was lucky enough to meet a lovely lady. Kate went out of her way to help me and the children settle. She met me at the school gates so I knew where to take the children, she sent me information about parking and clubs and even met me for a play date with her lovely children ahead of the new term so both my children knew a friendly face on their first day. All small things, but what a difference her kindness made.
Shortly after my lovely friend had her world rocked. Her beautiful daughter, just 6 years old was found to have a brain tumour. After multiple scans and consultation's they are now going through Radiotherapy in a hope to reduce the symptoms and help their little girl return to a normal life.
I’ve felt so powerless to help in what is such a frightening time for Kate and her family. She showed me so much care and kindness when we met that I want to do anything I can to help.
I am therefore walking to raise money for a charity that has really helped (and continues to help) this family through one of the most awful times in their lives. If you can spare even a small amount - please donate to an amazing cause.
Thank you
Sophie ❤️🙏
