I’m Sophie Imhof. I’m a neuroscientist and endurance athlete, and I’ve been working on ALS research for nearly eight years. In that time, I’ve seen how much progress has been made, and I truly believe that with more support, we can achieve even greater breakthroughs.

ALS is a devastating disease that can affect anyone. It slowly takes away the ability to move, speak, and do everyday activities, leaving families behind in shock and grief.

Next year, I will be running 55 kilometers in the Arizona Canyon Ultra to raise money and awareness for ALS research. Every step I take is for the people who can’t, and for the families who are fighting alongside them.
