Story
In 2023 we took on the challenge of walking 50km for our friend John who was battling this dreadful disease. It took us 13 hours and it rained constantly but we both really enjoyed the experience.
It's now three years later and we've decided to challenge ourselves again, this time tackling 100km over 2 days. We know it's going to be big ask (we both remember how sore our feet were after the 50km!) however we are very much up for the task.
Sadly, John is no longer with us and others close to us have also heartbreakingly lost their lives. At the same time, we've seen friends show incredible strength as they battle through treatment - that's why this challenge means so much more. We're walking in their memory, in support of those still fighting, and to help raise vital funds for the incredible work this charity does for everyone impacted by this awful disease.
Did you know...One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
Any support you can give is hugely appreciated by us and this wonderful charity.
Thanks and wish us luck!
Vicky & Sophie
