Story
In 2020, my grandad was suddenly diagnosed with cancer. The cancer was aggressive, and we were told he wouldn’t be with us for long. In those last few days, the brilliant nurses who provide care at home supported my grandad and the rest of my family 24/7. In the days after his passing, the team were so kind and caring and did all they could to support. Since then, Pendleside Hospice has had a special place in my heart (it will do forever!). I started working at Boohoo in 2021, and quickly found out that our local charity was Pendleside. Of course I was thrilled, and did everything I could to support. From organising volunteer days, to volunteering myself. I even sang in front of 300 people to raise money for the hospice! Over the years, I have really grown close to the fundraising team and running the London Marathon is the next step on my fundraising journey to help the hospice!
