SOS Africa Primary School Classroom Fundraising Appeal

Charity Appeal
SOS Africa has just launched a Primary School Classroom Fundraising Appeal. This exciting project, which involves the purchase of 2 classrooms, will provide high quality pre-primary education to 60 children from culturally diverse disadvantaged communities each year, taught in Afrikaans or English.
High quality pre-primary education is not currently available to children from many disadvantaged communities in the Grabouw area. This is especially the case for children who do not speak Afrikaans as a first language. As a consequence, underprivileged children from minority communities have no access to good education and remain impoverished.
The pre-primary education provided by the new classrooms will enable children to join the school system at a younger age, learn, socialise and grow in confidence before officially starting their primary school years. By introducing English language teaching to pupils from the age of 6 makes the school accessible to children from a wide range of cultural heritages. SOS Africa's Child Sponsorship Programme will also ensure that disadvantaged children will also benefit from this initiative.
We would greatly appreciate donations of any size to help us reach our £40,000 fundraising target enabling us to purchase the 2 fully resourced classrooms in time for the start of the 2024 school year.
