Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page supporting the MND Association.

To help raise money for a cause close to our hearts, we’re hosting a night of live music, dancing, and community – all in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The Soul Survivors will be bringing the 'Soul' and filling the room with live music and feel-good energy as we raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association – and one very special woman, Angie.

Whether you’re coming along on the night or supporting from afar, every donation on this page helps fund vital research, care, and support for those affected by MND.

🎶 Soul Survivors Charity Night for MND – In Support of Angie & MNDA

📅 Tuesday 28th October | 🕗 Evening | 📍The Globe, Newcastle (near the Arena)

Please read Angies story below, which is unfortunately a similar story to many families suffering at the hands of MND:

As many of you know, our amazing friend Angie has been on a tough journey over the past few years. After gradually losing strength in her arms, she had to step away from her much-loved hairdressing career – something that was a huge part of her life and identity.

Earlier this year, after months of tests and uncertainty, she was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). She was 39.

MND is a progressive, life-limiting condition that affects the brain and nerves. There’s currently no cure, and it’s as cruel as it is underfunded.

But if you know Angie, you’ll know she’s not someone to sit back and dwell. She’s meeting this diagnosis with grit, grace, and a determination to create something positive while she still can.

She’s doing all of this alongside her brilliant husband Martin, and their two gorgeous boys, Cooper and Carter – who keep her grounded, laughing, and focused on the things that matter most.

This event, and everything we raise, is about showing up for Angie – and for the many other families living with MND.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association funds vital research, provides practical support, and campaigns for better care and treatment. Every donation helps them do more.

Thank you for reading – and supporting the cause.
