Story
My 15yr old son Naaman & I, are part of the support team for our local ’Feast Fresh Community Larder’.
We collect perishable food from a couple of local supermarkets for the benefit of low income families; every Saturday they are able to access fresh & dry food, along with other living essentials.
We’re hiking the 100 mile ’South Downs Way’ from Winchester to Eastbourne, taking 6 long days spread over the end of April & May, raising funds to keep this essential community service running.

Alongside the Larder is a Community Cafe ‘Living Well Tonbridge’. It’s open on a Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.
On Tuesdays there are drop-in clinics at the Community Cafe staffed by: Tonbridge Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Porchlight (the local homeless charity), Babons Cancer Support, the Local Councillors, and Crosslight (debt advice), alongside ’Betty’s Craft Group’.

We’ll be posting updates of our Preparation Hikes and the Six days of South Downs Way Hikes, so please return to see how we get on!
Your much valued donation will help purchase non-perishable items when donations run dry, and the necessary operational costs of these community projects. E.g. powering three fridge-freezers, heating, lighting & consumable supplies.
