48 Hour Improvathon · 2 May 2025

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. It’s so kind of you to donate and motivate us through 48 hours of wild non stop improvised adventure! We REALLY appreciate it.

One woman in four will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime and on average two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse and runs the freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline that provides the first step to women escaping abuse.

By kindly donating you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and their children. Thank you
