Southerns Solicitors also has a personal connection to Pendleside Hospice. Muriel Jobling, founder of the hospice, was a Solicitor at the family firm of Jobling, Jobling and Knape which later became Southerns Solicitors. David Smith, another local Solicitor spent his entire career at Cooper, Smith and Williams solicitors, which later merged to into Southerns Solicitors. He assisted and supported Muriel in founding Pendleside Hospice in 1988 and remained a trustee until 2017.

We are incredibly proud of these connections and of our continued support for the outstanding work that Muriel, David and so many others have contributed over the years. Pendleside Hospice is truly an integral part of the East Lancashire community.
