A few of us from Sowerby Walkers & Ramblers have been taking part in The Midnight Walk for a few years.

One of our valued regular walkers John, who's 79, joined us last year and amazed us all with his fast pace. Even though the sole of his shoe had split. He told us how he was walking in memory of his wife, Janet. Who was sadly admitted to the impatient unit at Overgate Hospice in January 2014. He has been fundraising for the hospice ever since.

As a group we have all decided to walk with John this year in memory of his wife Janet.
