Miranda Seldon is raising money for Hospice Of St Francis (Berkhamsted)

Walking the Camino Portugues · 6 April 2026

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

We are walking the Camino Portugues, over 150 miles from Porto to Santiago de Compostela in Spain in aid of the Hospice

It's going to be wet!

Miranda has been on the Spiritual Care Team for over 7 years and has seen the vital difference that the Hospice makes in supporting patients and families with love and care.

"The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care. Your support is ever more important, as NHS funding covers less than 20% of our running costs."
