Spannering About the NC500 - Raising Money for Springer Rescue for Scotland

“Rustbox Rallies - NC500”
Springer Rescue for Scotland rescues and rehomes Springer Spaniels across Scotland. All dogs in their care are fostered in family homes, vet-checked, vaccinated and microchipped and any other necessary veterinary treatment. Ongoing veterinary support is often provided for elderly or infirm dogs.

Story

We’re Spannering About — a rally team taking part in our first rally with Rustbox Rallies. We’ve decided it’s a brilliant idea to take Les’s trusty (we hope!) Skoda around the NC500 in early March 2026 with our 2 Spaniels. What could possibly go wrong?

We're doing the rally for the shits and giggles mostly, but also to raise some money for a genuinely decent cause along the way.

We’re fundraising for Spaniel Rescue for Scotland, who do brilliant work giving dogs a second chance at a safe, loving home. None of our spanners are rescues but we believe every dog deserves care, patience, and a home to claim as their own.

If you fancy supporting our questionable decision to rally in the Highlands in the height of winter — and supporting an organisation that makes a real difference — we’d massively appreciate it.

Our NC500 adventure runs from 11th–14th March, starting in Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, winding past Loch Ness, heading north through Inverness and the northeast coast, before reaching John o’ Groats.

Thanks for donating, sharing, or just laughing at the idea of this old rustbox attempting the route.
