I'm taking part in Child.org's Ride Africa challenge: cycling hundreds of kilometres cross-country to raise money for life-saving work in maternal and child health.

Some years ago, I visited a friend who was working for VSO in Kenya and saw first-hand why supporting this work is so crucial. The challenges faced by mothers and children in these communities are immense, and the need for support is urgent. Every day, countless lives are at risk due to inadequate healthcare services, and it is our responsibility to help change that.

On November 15, 2025, I will be participating in the "Ride Africa: Mara Calling" event, aiming to raise £1,800 to contribute towards this vital cause. Your support can make a significant difference; together we can ensure that mothers receive the care they need during pregnancy and childbirth, and that children have access to essential health services.
