Story
My daughter Elise (15) and I are taking part in the InHope sleepout in Bristol in 2 weeks, we have decided to ditch the comfort of our own beds and spend 1 night in the city centre with others for this annual event. We hope to raise much needed funds for people experiencing homelessness, addiction and food poverty.
Whilst we hope for dry weather, we can not begin to imagine those doing this night after night.
Will you help me bring hope to these people, please?
For every £12 donated, the Wild Goose could provide a person rough sleeping with lunch for a week.
For £32, the South and East Bristol Foodbank could provide a 3-day emergency food parcel to a person in need.
For £98, Spring of Hope could provide a bed for a woman who would otherwise be stuck in unsafe circumstances.
The Charity InHope is something close to our hearts, as a family, over the years we have supported with meals for the winter night shelter, to volunteering at the Wild Goose, to ongoing Trustee support. We hope that this sleep out event can raise awareness to the challenges people in our City face on a daily basis and make a small collective difference with funds raised to those less fortunate in our City. The work of the Charity and funds raised, means it can meet the needs of those that are vulnerable and in need.
Thanks so much for your kind and generous support, every donation is hugely appreciated !
Spencer and Elise
