Wirral Mind 5 District Charity Walk

As part of the SP Energy Networks 5 District Walk, the Wirral District Team is walking to raise vital funds for a cause close to home and close to the heart – Wirral Mind.
For over 50 years, Wirral Mind has provided free mental health services to people across the Wirral community. Their aim is simple but powerful: to promote better mental health, tackle stigma, and ensure no one has to face mental illness alone.
Mental health affects us all – whether directly or through someone we care about. And yet, far too many people still struggle in silence.
Wirral Mind offers:
*Free counselling and talking therapies
*Peer support groups
*Crisis intervention and suicide prevention
*Mental health training for local businesses and schools
*Safe spaces for people to connect, share and recover
They work with people of all ages and backgrounds, creating a lifeline for those experiencing anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma and more.
In the Wirral District Team, we’ve seen how mental health challenges touch every community, workplace and family. We believe mental health support should be accessible, local and stigma-free—and Wirral Mind embodies that mission every day.
Their services save lives and restore hope—and we’re proud to walk every mile in support of their work.
On 6–7 June, teams from across SP Energy Networks will walk 70km across all five districts of the Manweb licence area. From Sankey Bridges to Bagillt, we’ll pass through towns and communities that we’re proud to serve, raising funds for six brilliant local charities—including Wirral Mind.
Every penny raised by the Wirral District Team will go directly to Wirral Mind, helping them offer free, life-changing mental health support to anyone who needs it. Please give what you can. Together, we can take steps to support better mental health for all.
Thank you from all of us in the Wirral District Team.
