Supporting Hope House Children’s Hospices – 132 Team
As part of the SP Energy Networks 5 District Walk, the 132 Team is raising funds for a charity that offers comfort, care, and compassion when it’s needed most – Hope House Children’s Hospices, based in Oswestry.
Providing Lifeline Support to Children and Families
Hope House Children’s Hospices support seriously ill children and their families across Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales. Their mission is to ensure that no family faces the death of their child alone.
From the moment of diagnosis, Hope House offers a lifeline—providing nursing and respite care, emotional and bereavement support, and a space for families to simply be together during the most difficult times imaginable.
Their work includes:
*Specialist nursing and end-of-life care
*Respite stays for children and their families
*Bereavement counselling and family support
*Home-based care for children who can’t travel
*Compassionate help for siblings and parents throughout their journey
Every family is met with dignity, love and respect—and every child is given the chance to live with joy, laughter and meaning, however short their time may be.
Why We’re Walking
The 132 Team chose Hope House because their work is nothing short of extraordinary. They care for families living through the unimaginable and give them space, support and strength to face each day.
As a team often working behind the scenes to power the network, we’re stepping forward now—putting on our boots and walking to support the people who make life’s most difficult moments a little more bearable.
The 5 District Walk
On 6–7 June, we’ll walk 70km in two days, connecting every district in the SP Manweb licence area. Each team is walking for a cause that matters deeply to them—and we’re walking every step for Hope House.
