Hi guys, my names Thomas Spencer, I’m 22 years old, please take a moment to ready this.

From a young age I haven’t had the best life, childhood abuse + trauma has (and still does) affected me and my siblings.

When I was 7 years old my grandparents saved our life. Stopped my two younger brothers, older sister and myself from entering the care system.

As I grew older into teenage years I became very troublesome, blaming myself for having a broken family, never knowing my dad due to lies my own mother told. I was very affected without showing it. It got to a point my poor grandparents had no choice but to send me into foster care, only recently I realised this is what truly saved me.

I hit very bad mental health, suicidal thoughts etc while there. Had slept in train stations hoping a train would pass fast enough to end it, many scars on me for life because I tried it. Drug addiction took over me, only recently clean (30th Jan 2026). It’s a struggle but I know I need to change.

I don’t regret a thing, I look at it now happy i struggled so I can try and help my family n friends, future family too.

Crimewise the police and me have gotten used to each other over the years, something I’ve changed and plan to stick too.

Now I want to finally do something good in life, this charity does amazing things for males suffering, that’s why I’ve chosen to attempt a good fundraiser but mainly to raise awareness for this cause.

On Saturday 25th April 2026, I’ll be walking from my home in Stevenage up to Halifax where ANDYSMANCLUB had its first meeting, my current plan is for the walk to take 7 days (171 miles).

It’s going to be very hard but I’m motivated to get it done, I’ll record it via livestream or social media to prove my success, either way it will not be as hard as it is for a male to open up, admit or ask for help with problems. The stigma around men not suffering has become too normalised.

Did you know Male suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 54? I hope that stat can change soon.

I don’t ask for donations but if you can donate anything there are a lot of people who will be helped, what I do ask for is please take a minute out of your day to share this, share my plan. Help me bring a lot of attention to this issue.

At any point on this walk I’d love for people to join me, for a minute, a mile, an hour. Anything.
